4 Top Burger Joints In Orlando, FL Area

If you’re moving to Orlando, your to-do list is likely already loaded with fun attractions and day trips–don’t forget to stop and take time to experience all the delicious food the city offers. Here, we’ve rounded up the best places in Orlando to stop for a beefy bite.

1. The Stubborn Mule, 100 S. Eola Dr., Suite 103, Orlando, FL 32801

Named to pay homage to the traditional Moscow Mule cocktail, The Stubborn Mule offers unique drinks, fantastic apps (be sure to try the sticky pork belly and the P.E.I. mussels), and, of course–an incredible selection of burgers. If you’re in the mood for something unique, check out the Belgian waffle burger–a half-pound of beef topped with cheddar cheese, maple pepper bacon, and roasted red pepper jam sandwiched between two Belgian waffles. Are you feeling spicy? Check out the pico-boo burger, an 8 oz. patty loaded with sharp cheddar cheese, adobo salsa, Pico de Gallo, smashed avocado, and salad greens on a toasty brioche bun.

2. StreetWise Urban Food, 4434 Hoffner Ave., Orlando, FL 32812

Featuring Chef Pierre’s creations, StreetWise has been noted as #OneToWatch by Yelp. While the kickin’ chicken sandwich is what StreetWise is currently known for, don’t sleep on its burger. The hand-rolled beef patty is topped with tomato, pickled onions, arugula, cheese, and your choice of sauce (choose from house sauce, spicy coconut, bang bang, ranch, badassery BBQ, chipotle aioli, or pesto aioli). They make these items fresh in-house, so you’ll want to get there early before the day’s stock runs out. If you fall in love with a sauce, be sure to ask for a bottle to go–at $5 a pop, it’s the perfect way to bring StreetWise to your home kitchen.

3. Poke Kai–609 Irvington Ave., Orlando, FL 33131

If you’re ready for an authentic taste of Florida, stop into the A La Cart rotational dining hall, the current home to Poke Kai. This unique take is unlike anything you’ve tried before and takes a (giant) leap away from the beefy patty you’re thinking of when you order a burger. Choose from tofu, salmon, or tuna for your sandwich filling, then revel in the fun your tastebuds have while enjoying your protein topped with kai salad, eel sauce, cilantro, spicy mayo, and avocado, sandwiched between two crispy rice buns.

4. Grattin Dog–1006 Altamonte Drive #1002, Altamonte Springs, FL 32701

While not technically located within city limits, this Altamonte Springs eatery is well worth the trip. Grattin Dog’s handcrafted burgers, hot dogs, and appetizers are the perfect way to welcome your family to the Orlando area. So, step up your plate with the triple burger if you’re feeling the beef craving. Show up hungry, as you’ll want to partake in more than one appetizer.
