Celebrate Spring With These Festivals in Orlando, FL

While the weather is usually gorgeous in Orlando, the city still knows how to celebrate the start of spring. So you’ll want to mark your calendar with these exciting events to help you and your family get to know your sunny new home.

1. Music Fest Orlando–March 25th, Central Florida Fair, 4603 West Colonial Dr., Orlando, FL

This single-day outdoor music festival has all the acts you’ll want to see, from Fantasia to Baby Face. Hosted by Rickey Smiley, you’ll love hanging out in your new community and checking out all that local artists and vendors offer. In addition to providing the community with excellent entertainment at a great price, Music Fest Orlando is also working to build a scholarship fund for students interested in attending an HBCU after completing their high school education. Be sure to reserve your tickets early–you’re not permitted to bring in your own seating, but you’ll have the option to rent chairs when you arrive on sight. If you’re feeling fancy, check out the VIP tent table options.

2. Spring Fiesta in the Park, April 1st-2nd, 101 North Rosalind Ave., Orlando, FL

Ready to get to know downtown Orlando? While your new city is well-known as a vacation spot for theme park enthusiasts, you’ll also love everything the downtown area offers, and Spring Fiesta allows you to explore your new home. This event is perfect for the whole family (even pets!). Be sure to bring your kids so they can check out the children’s events, including bouncy castles and face painting. So, if you’re interested in learning the crafts of some on-site vendors, sign up for the many workshops available with the artists at the festival. With more than 200 vendors, there’s no doubt that there will be something of interest for everyone in the family at Spring Fiesta.

3. Orlando Pottery Festival–April 29th, Florida Army National Guard, 2809 S Ferncreek Ave., Orlando, FL

The Orlando Pottery Festival is an impressive show of Orlando’s art scene and is perfect for anyone who enjoys decorating their home with local art. If you’re an artist who creates your own pottery, apply for a spot at the festival to show your art to your new community. From coffee mugs to wall art to statutes to decorate your front yard, you’ll find everything you need to beautify your new Orlando home at the festival.
